Specialist Business Insurance for Virtual Assistants www.hallsdale.co.uk/virtualassistant

“The Virtual Assistant Insurance policy from Hallsdale was recommended to me and made sense straight away.  To have tailored insurance for this industry is a huge benefit, as you are paying for what you need.  I was able to do everything online, which saved me a lot of time – always a bonus.  Not wanting to go for it without knowing some comparison prices, I contacted the FSB and asked them about their cover.  They were unequivocal: they said I wouldn’t get better cover at a better price.  Recommendation indeed!”  Lisa Dunn, Hexagon VA

WHAT ELSE WE LOVE…

 Internet Radio

Do you love radio?  Well, there is a budding new internet radio station which is truly innovative as it supports communities, especially the business community.

If you are starting out or growing a business or are a lady who loves to hear ‘Womens Thoughts’ then tune into Flying Start and Scarlet Ladies on www.redshiftradio.co.uk.

Having been on there myself, it is a great set-up and you will be inspired by what you hear.  Look at the schedule and listen to what grabs your interest.  Follow them on Twitter @RedShiftRadioUK for up-to-date news.

In addition, if you or a client runs training sessions or seminars and events, then Red Shift Radio also provide Media Services.  They can film and record your event and create DVDs and CDs for you to sell on to your clients.

Meet Red Shift Radio at the 5th National VA Conference and Awards 2011.

Women who Want to Connect and Chat with Other Women

I have had the pleasure of recently meeting one-half of Women’s Thoughts.  This is an online community where women of all ages, from all over the UK, where you no longer need to feel alone.  In fact you can listen to the radio show Christine and Anne host ‘Scarlet Ladies’ on RedShiftRadio on a Friday at 12noon.

The site is divided into rooms like a house.  In the kitchen forum you will find great recipes, discussions about keeping chickens, how to set your Christmas table and lots more.  In the bedroom (well I will leave it to your imagination what they chat about in there!!).

This is such a great idea and I have never come across anything like it before.  Do have a look www.womensthoughts.co.uk.   Are you based in Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire?  Then let me know if you are interested in building a Women’s Thoughts community in the area and happy to contribute articles.

Based in the NW of the UK?  Want to Learn About Social Media and How it Can Increase Your Business Opportunties?

I would like to recommend Koogar, run by social media expert Amanda Daniels (another regular on RedShiftRadio).  Amanda is running a series of affordable workshops on aspects of understanding how to put social media into action and how to raise your profile.  Go to her website for more information www.koogar.co.uk and you will be delighted with what you learn.
